Please join us for the next session in a series of webinars to discuss sustainability topics that affect the healthcare industry.  The State of Colorado requires all facilities over 50,000 SF to meet energy use intensity and GHG emission reduction targets by 2030.  Our webinar series explores various technical approaches that hospitals can take to save energy and GHG emissions.   This month’s session will discuss strategies around maintenance and operation of steam systems in hospitals.

Steam and heating system have a significant effect on the energy use intensity of healthcare facilities.  The presenters will discuss the following learning objectives:

  1. Discuss steam basics, specifically how does steam management affect hospital carbon emissions?
  2. Discuss how to create an effective steam management program.  Discuss the benefits of steam management (economic, rebates, reliability, equipment service life, occupant/patient health).
  3. Focus on operation and maintenance tips to improve better steam system health.  Discuss how to find quick wins for EUI reduction.
  4. Describe tools and resources to improve steam system maintenance (including case studies that focus on cost avoidance and failure reductions).

This is free for members and $50 for non-members.
